To meld practicality with their vision of the finished product, they called on the design and engineering expertise of Classic Post & Beam of Maine for this custom home. Having views from front to back, and everything in between, guided and inspired their initial ideas for a home plan. A vision brought to reality by Classic Post and Beam!
Spruce and pine were used in the framework. Six-by-six posts, purlins and ceiling beams eliminated the need for interior load-bearing walls while allowing for lofty ceilings and large expanses of glass.
Hand-pegged red oak floors and exposed eastern white pine posts throughout complement a spacious, open and inviting living space.
Interesting Andersen window choices were used to give the loft area a different look than typical.
